My name is Bobby Weatherford and, as you probably know, I am running for President in the 2008 election. The decision to run was an easy one. I was raised to believe that I could be anything that I wanted, that anyone could be anything that they wanted, as long as they were determined and willing to work hard. I was always told, determination and hard work opens the doors of opportunity. For the last 7 years I have been working as a high school teacher in south Dallas. A socially and economically challenged area. I have seen the best and the worst of American youth. I have seen those with hope in their eyes, and I have seen the 15 year old pessimist that believes that world will never change. I am running for president to show them, all of them, that they can be anything that they desire. Through my actions I will demonstrate that America is the greatest country in the world. Only in America can the poorest civil servant run for the highest office. Only in America can any man or woman, of any religion or race, become Commander and Chief. I plan to show the children, and the rest of America, what hard work and determination can do. I am going run my campaign with almost zero budget and no experience. I have gathered some loyal friends, we have founded a party, formed a platform, and now I plan to begin my journey toward the White House.
